There are several reefs and an artificial breakwater protecting the beach from sea currents and some rocks divide the beach in two parts. It is 400 meters long by 35 meters wide. The beach is situated at a half-urban area that receives many visitors, not only locals but also tourists, and has permanent surveillance. There is also accommodation, restaurants, kiosks, parking area, public telephones, a shopping-center and buses. The hospital of Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves is six kilometres away.

Bajamar Bajamar beach is an artificial beach with fine black sand. It is about 700 meters long by an average of 43 meters wide. It is situated at a half-urban area, near to the marina of Santa Cruz de La Palma. It receives few visitors, although it is equipped and has a moderate swell, because Los Cancajos beach, probably the best beach of La Palma, is very close. Bajamar beach has a sea front, a Red Cross post and a surveillance service on weekends. There are also warning signs, a parking area and the beach can be reached by bus. It is only six kilometres away from the hospital of Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves.

En su suelo combina la arena negra de grano medio con grava y callaos, tiene un oleaje moderado y unos pocos servicios, duchas entre ellos. Nogales Nogales beach, at the northern coast of La Palma, is situated at a rural and isolated area, difficult to reach. There is a narrow cement road between banana trees. The last part of the road is wider and ends one kilometre away from the beach. Then there is a better path at the cliff that goes down to the beach. It has black sand made of middle-size grain and it is half a kilometre long by an average of 25 meters wide, depending on the tides. It is situated inside the Natural Park of Los Sauces and Puntallana and has a moderate swell. It is well equipped, with surveillance service and showers. La Galga La Galga beach is one of the few bathing areas of the cliffed-coast of Puntallana. It is 20 meters long by an average of 17 meters wide.
