The house was not directly affected by the eruption of 1706, key date and point of inflection in the history of the Valley of Garachico. On October 1709, the Conception nuns take refuge in the House of the Marquis of La Quinta Roja, their protector. Once their new convent is finished they transfer to it after forty years of inhabiting a sector of the house-palace. Routes, days and nights, where serenely you will merge in the beauty of the landscapes and in the secrets of our sky, in the way of being of our people, in our customs and traditions, as well as many and pleasant surprises that are reserved for you.   hotel la quinta roja

This manor from the 16th Century with an ochre red façade has been invaded by a colonial minimalism, responsibility of Pepe Moriana, who with the help of four architects from Tenerife, carried out the restoration of the place: the galleries of slash pine wood remain, as well as the carved wood panelling and the indoor patio with balustrade and fountain, tempting one to sit on the seats of vegetable fibre there installed. Influence of the island baroque, on the right side rises a viewpoint inspired on the Mudejar building style, with views over the rooftops of Garachico and the sea.

The common areas display a very peculiar rustic essence, with modern details such as halogen lamps over wood tables, latex furniture, lamps of rigid plastic in the bathrooms...

Smokers will have to limit their habit to their exits to the terrace, with views over the baroque church of Santa Ana and the Town Hall. For them and for all, there is a sauna and a hydromassage bathtub in the open air, no doubt, healthier.
