Vueling's landing in the Canary Islands will increase the supply of flights between Madrid and the Islands, bringing benefits as much to Canarian residents as to visitors: in the connections with Madrid, the number of seats will increase by up to 28% in Tenerife North, and by 21% in Gran Canaria. The route Madrid-Tenerife currently offers 27,000 seats per week in high season, while Madrid-Gran Canaria surpasses 36,000 seats. Vueling will provide up to 7,500 extra seats per week in each route.

In tune with what has happened in other markets, Vueling's entrance in these two routes will imply a reduction in the current rates by an estimated 50%. The airline will offer seats in all its flights starting at 35€ per journey, all included. Vueling foresees transporting over 300,000 passangers in each route per complete operational year.
