Lucas Maes is only 36 years old and he has already achieved several prizes for the best foreign kitchen. This Tenerifean-Belgian has a professional experience that surpasses two decades. From his adolescence he has crossed diverse European countries and he has worked in the kitchens of many prestigious restaurants. The Lucas Maes restaurant is his second successful restaurant after setting up the renowned "Faisán de Lucas".    

Now with this fabulous restaurant, located in a colonial style house, reformed and decorated, he wants to achieve the same success with an elegant mixture of styles; modern and classic. The dining room is managed by Susana, wife of this great chef, and is decorated with elegance, upholstery of zebras or tigers, vases of crystal with stones, exquisite pictures with simple colours; a personal singular and minimalist decoration for a grand cuisine.  We are used to the idea that high cuisine comes in little portions. This is not the case in Lucas.

The creations that leave the kitchen are based on the products that are available daily in the market. As a welcome to the table, the restaurant serves a selection of bread and sauces with a cold-hot daikiri while we browse the menu.

The menu is not large due to the fact that they work with the freshest ingredients.  Some of the specialties of the house which have reflected fame to the establishment include foie with mango sorbet and truffle oil; prawn and mushrooms ravioli with white wine sauce and sunflower oil…  

It is definitely worth visiting this restaurant. The quality of its food and the friendliness of the team contribute to obtaining regulars everyday. A gift for those who like the art of good food.
