La Milpa has achieved, in very a short time, a very good reputation within the gastronomical offer on the island. It is fruit of the fusion of two chefs, Fernando Ximénez-Cruz, from Tenerife, and his wife of Guatemalan origin, Coralia Marrero.

Located on the main road that links the towns of Tacoronte and Tejina, in an old small house perfectly prepared to lodge a restaurant of this category.  Its decoration, simple but with taste, impose a pleasant coldness appeased by the masters of each one of the dishes that leave the kitchen.  It is according to the daily available products of the market that Fernando elaborates a series of dishes, thus constantly changing the menu.

The cuisine is modern, giving priority to the ingredients, using sauces as complements and the culinary techniques as support.  Light and balanced dishes like aubergine millefeuille and foie stuffed carpaccio. As starters we recommend the duck risotto, specialty of the house. The desserts are as impressive as the other dishes on the menu; chocolate casata, lemon sorbet, brownie with vanilla and the special apple cake.
