casa rural las guindasA typical house of El Hierro in the northern municipality of Mocanal, it is an homage to good taste and peace. Built with natural basaltic stone and with a gabled roof of Marseille tile, its constructed surface is larger than 80m2. The entire inside is of wood-panelled walls, including even the upstairs floor, where there is a bedroom. On this floor we will also find a large, completely equipped terrace, which invites us to relax while reading a book, resting or simply observing the glorious views that can be seen from here: the surrounding mountains and on clear days the neighbouring islands of La Palma, La Gomera and Tenerife.

las guindas One sole bedroom, very large, covering almost the totality of the second floor. Two single beds of 2m each, large closet, bedside tables, chest of drawers… everything so that this area of the house is as beautiful and significant as the rest.

The entire house enjoys great light, the sunlight sufficing during the day. A warm and perfect wooden stairway leads us to the lower floor, a wide kitchen with views to the garden through two windows and a door-window. The bathroom, and on another level lies the living room, equipped with a firewood heater, sofa, armchairs, TV, music equipment, as well as a sofa bed for two other people, which would make the total lodging capacity of the house for 4. The outskirts of the house has a curious garden, where plants, vines and morello cherry trees grow within the uncovered spaces of old constructions.
