Mrs. Victoria and Mr. Matías founded this restaurant in 1957 and has become today a place of gastronomical peregrination for the lovers of the good cuisine.  Mr. Matías and his son-in-law Jose welcome us to their premises. Two dining rooms, the main one, at the end with a capacity for 70 people non-smokers and the other for 25, reserved for smokers.

The restaurant is a tribute to the Canary Islands with its volcanic stone and wood walls.  In the kitchen, mother and daughter Fabiola, prepare all sorts of dishes in the menu. The ingredients are of the best quality and the dishes are all homemade like the aperitif of cured meat that is offered upon arrival, delicious! Roast cheese with 4 local sauces (red and green mojo, sweet quince sauce and orange sauce), the “montaditos” of sweet potato and codfish, ommellettes, the delicious fried or salmorejo rabbit, or fresh fish brought straight from the port…

All the food prepared in this bodegón will taste special to you but do not miss the rabbit stew, surprisingly tasty and original. It is not on the menu and must be ordered a day in advance, it is worth it though. The wine menu offers a wide selection of wines and the dessert menu has delicious homemade favourites.

There is a great quality price relation and an exquisite service. All the members of the family will make sure you keep fond memories of Bodegón Matías.
